Vintage Telephones

A vintage telephone brings instant nostalgia to a desk, a hallway or a living room, and this collection gathers more than 40 of them: rotary dial handsets, push-button phones, wall-mounted models and designs from the great eras of communication. Think of the Bakelite-style rotary phones of the 1950s and the colourful plastic handsets of the 1970s and 80s, each one adding a nostalgic, stylish touch to your space.

Vintage Telephones: Retro Design with Character

An authentic vintage telephone wins people over with its sculpted shapes and the quality of its materials: heavy, glossy Bakelite, shiny chrome and a solid handset. Many of ours work on a classic phone line, and several can also be connected to a broadband router, so they are as practical as they are decorative. Each product page lists exactly how the phone connects, so you can check before you choose.

Find Your Type of Vintage Telephone

Rotary Dial Telephones

The true classic: you turn the dial for each digit, and the mechanical ring sounds just as it did in the 1950s and 60s. They come in black, red, blue, green, pink, yellow, orange and more, and some have a gold-toned dial for a touch of luxury.

Push-Button and Hands-Free Telephones

Easier to use every day, these retro phones have push buttons, a redial function and, on some models, a hands-free speaker. They bring the look of an old American sitcom kitchen to your home.

Wall-Mounted and Corded Telephones

Wall telephones fix to the wall and have a mechanical ringer and a call indicator light. Corded models in red, black or beige are the quickest way to add a retro focal point to a hallway.

Cordless and Modern Retro Styles

For a lighter look, choose a cordless retro handset that pairs with your smartphone by Bluetooth, or a modern 1990s-style phone with a retro twist.

How to Style a Vintage Telephone

On a desk: a rotary phone in black or burgundy suits an elegant home office or a hotel reception.

In the living room: a coloured phone in pink, red or duck blue makes a bold, playful accent on a sideboard or a console table.

In a shop or café: a wall-mounted or push-button model gives the space a lively retro feel while staying practical.

Vintage Telephones: Quick FAQ

Do vintage telephones really work?

Yes. Our phones connect to a classic telephone line, and several models can also be used with a broadband router. The connection is listed on each product page.

What is the difference between a rotary and a push-button phone?

A rotary phone has a dial that you turn for each digit, while a push-button phone has keys and usually a redial function. Rotary models have the most authentic vintage look.

Are they good for decoration?

Absolutely. Many customers choose them purely as decorative objects for an office, a hotel or a shop, as well as for the home.
