This one has a simple retro form and a dark finish that sits comfortably against pale walls, brick or painted plaster. It is made from aluminium, zinc and iron, so it feels sturdy as well as stylish. Pair it with a filament bulb to bring out the industrial mood.

Its lines are pared back, with nothing fussy to distract from the shape. Switched off, it reads as a small dark silhouette against the wall, a bit like a piece of old workshop kit. Lit, it casts a warm pool that softens all those hard edges and gives the room a lived-in feel.

Details

Colour: Black

Material: Aluminium, zinc and iron

Bulb cap: E27 (bulb not included)

Mounting: Wall-mounted

Style: Retro industrial

Styling

Think of the space beside a bed, where a slim dark fitting leaves the bedside table clear. It also works over a desk or reading chair, and in a narrow hallway it makes a tidy rhythm when repeated. Team it with exposed brick, aged leather, wooden crates or open metal shelves.

Quick FAQ

What kind of bulb does this sconce take? It takes a bulb with an E27 cap. The bulb is not included, so choose the shape you like, perhaps a vintage filament style.

Would it suit a modern flat? Yes, the dark colour and plain retro shape sit happily in a contemporary room. It is a simple way to add a nod to industrial style without redoing the whole scheme.

See more in our collection of vintage wall lights, and pair it with our vintage pendant lights.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0191/2297/8882/files/applique-murale-vintage-retro-noir-2782015.webp?v=1793394136
